Attach the black wire to the heater of the baseboard heater thermostat. Attach the white wire to the load neutral wire. Attach the bare or green wire to the thermostat ground hook. Finally attach the pigtail to the thermostst baseboard screw. The load connection is the wiring that runs from the thermostat to the heater.

If you're moving the wires through the knockout, be sure to use a cable connector and leave inches of wire for heater connection. Do not remove permanently crimped wires. Replace the front cover by fitting the top lip of the cover onto the tabs of each therjostat box and top edge of the element support brackets. Rotate the cover downward, pushing the bottom corners inward.
