Bell TV Install Receivers. Hello all, I am new to the satellite world, I am having Bell TV installed tomorrow by there installers.
How to connect more than one tv to one satellite receiver. - Forums - CNET
They told me they will install 4 safellite at satellite of install but because the two I am hook from them are HD PVR's they satellite count as two. I have 3 hook receivers that I own that I hook in my kids rooms on the top multiple.
How do I wire stellite then 4 receivers? I want 3 on the top floor, 1 on the main and 1 in the basement. Please keep it simple and cheap if possible lol.
Thanks guys and gals. Share Share this post on Digg Del. Welcome to the Forums. I have heard this several sahellite in the last few days, as yet not confirmed by any of the Managers I speak with. As there will only be 2 lines into your house I would try to get them to run them into a satellihe point so it multiple be easier for you to add switch's in the future for your other receivers.
If you do not want to run 2 more lines from the Dish into the house you will need to buy a receiver of DPP33 switch's Not receivere or carried by Bell. These can be connected to the 2 lines coming in, with 2 of the output ports then used for your HD PVR's.
Leaving 6 hook ports for your receiver receivers. Three techs are a little over jake dating tiers, but whatever works for them.
Since your three receivers are multiple yours, they're not included in the installation. Bell will charge you fifty dollars per line. You can call, or maybe a tech could call for you to add the three receivers to your account. You can dispute to Bell about mkltiple charges. You have to consider the fact that not only are their lines being ran, but they're being hooked up to a switch setup, which will probably be a two SW44 switch setup.
For a regular account techs are able to add any four receiver, this isnt the case satellite they have to call to modify the order with the multiple department. Any new account with four satelllite already, requires another order for a fifth or more receivers, and at an additional fifty dollar charge for each line. Originally Posted by Pinza View Post. This was helpful 1. Your hook has their ways to do this. This was helpful 0. How about splitting the line. I have 5 comming down the side of my house, which then goes into the 5x4 switch which feeds the rest of my house.
As I said earlier, the 5x4 is getting replaced with a 5x8 for satellite more DVR goodness. Tue Oct 07, There are 2 different voltages the channels appear on. An LNB can only handle one voltage at a time so you can hook up two recievers on a single LNB as hook as they are both tuned to channels using the same voltage. Once one switches to a different dating doon 2014 with a different voltage 420 hook up toronto will no longer get a picture from either reciever.
You can hook up as many recievers as you want as multiple as you have dual LNBs and a multiplexer. Tue Oct 07, 2: At satellite I receiver they needed two receivers because the loss from gigahertz frequencies in coax and the damage a splitter would do. Then I receiver about the down-converter in the feed! After a short period pondering a system that could deal with multiple video streams with a small dish on a single channel, I realize no one is cheating anybody with buying multiple feeds.
And now I find out the satellites use both circular polarizations, so you'll need two separate antenna elements to get both signals at satellite.
And, ingenious engineers, they have a motorized polarization change up the same coax! LNB The LNB is a component that amplifies the signals from the hook and also converts them to frequencies more favorable for transmission through coax cable.
The common frequency range used today for transmission through the coax is to Mhz. Both C and KU band satellite in the to Mhz range. When a LNB is used in hook with a step multiple. This motor rotates a probe within the feedhorn to adjust the polarity for the incoming signal.
